MUCH NEEDED IMPROVEMENTS TO THE YOUTH SOCCER TOURNAMENT LANDSCAPE
In moving forward, ENIGMA Cup have already announced that we have not renewed the sub-contractor agreement with Tournament Success Group – Bill Fisher/Jairon Moreno for our scheduling requirements, with whom we had a strong relationship for years, but whose many South Florida events represented, are following the same repetitive structure only at different locations and times of the season. As such, these are becoming way too redundant and stale. In our most successful short 5 year history, our ENIGMA Cup has always moved forward in creating more than a simple youth soccer tournament, but rather evolving into a top level competitive soccer competition and a veritable overall festivalesque experience for all to enjoy – players, families and friends alike! This year we also be adding many new important and exciting components, which will make this edition the best ever!
While all events produce financial gains as fundraisers for our respective clubs, we need to exhibit greater fairness in this process and provide all participants a greater overall experience ON and OFF the field….which we continually succeed in implementing and which we will greatly modify for all our future events. As you all learned at the meeting, these same will be on-field modifications which will give the game back to the players, to the teams and the clubs. Notably, full length game times, greater spacing of game starts, optimal referee selection (in-state and out of state) along with upgraded pay for quality officials and limits on the volume of games for same day officiating. Similarly, we will take a more active supervision of game conduct and behavior by fans, players and coaches. There will be ZERO TOLERANCE of any negative behavior and immediate suspension of any disruptive individuals or teams.
